* Certain State programs are increased annually by the Town, subject to Town Meeting approval.  The Spring 2002 Town Meeting voted a 15% additional exemption for Clauses 17D, 41C, 22 and 37A, effective July 1, 2002.  The effective amounts are as noted under "actual exemption."

** Amount of benefits is determined by the amount by which property tax (or 25% rent) plus half of water and sewer charges exceed 10% of taxable income.  For full information from the Mass. Department of Revenue, click here.
