Presentation on Pollution Prevention Plan with 5 goals (see handouts).  He started a recycling program at the Library which has been quite successful.  Next projects: schools and town hall.
DPW uses recycled waste oil, purchases material w/ recycled content (cones, paving material, etc).  Bob would like feedback on the procurement policy which he would like to propose to the Board of Selectmen.

Starting Date for PAYT:  It was unanimously voted to begin PAYT on Tuesday, July 1, 2003.  DPW assured us that a Tuesday starting date is not a problem.

BFI and Financial Update: BFI was the only bidder on the RFP.  They currently have rejection stickers; can we add PAYT to that information?   Probably need our own.

Trash left out for several days:  This is a Board of Health regulation.  Trash should not be put out prior to 5pm of the day before pickup.  We should check the current policy and emphasize enforcement.

Bags: From the information provided, George will finalize printing on bag.  Company needs 6 weeks.  8 stores have agreed to carry bags.  Jay will finalize letter.  Town counsel is reviewing the contract.
